Source of profit is fulfillment of Customer Value (Purpose). It is not enough to understand what a customer needs; rather it is critical to understand what the customer does with what we provide.

Long term profitability depends on aligning what we and our trade partners do to what our ultimate customer needs and does.

This alignment has to be done by “people”, the key drivers of results. People have to align process to purpose, align self to purpose and align themselves to process.
